I had just been in Rhodes fo the last five days, First I want to say that it's amazing island there are so many special places on Rhodes and the culture is amazing, people who love to travel in the world like me will very enjoy this trip.
I had slept in the Atrium Platinum Hotel near The Aegean Sea, the accommodation was amazing and the people very nice and politely.
Rhodes food as in many islands based on mainly fish but in addition many Greek cheeses and salads and lots of beers! it was so fun and i enjoyed every time i went to eat.
the food in rhodes just high quality and good, and worth the money.
but take into consideration that it's expensive.. a regular meal with drinks in the taverns can cost easily 17-18 euro and can arrive to 75 euro for person.
Rhodes island have good economy condition relatively to the rest of Greece where the population below poverty line is 20% and Unemployment rate 27.3% , Rhodes economy state is better because Rhodes have a lot of tourists who come from countries with better economy and bring a lot of money with them and improving Rhodes economy.
There are only 110,000 citizens in the island.
On Rhodes there is only one casino and some large companies but the rest are private businesses such as shops, stalls, taverns, restaurants and clubs.
For conclusion: it was interesting to watch such a small economy and rural and see the business models where everyone is based on tourism, and it was really fun to enjoy the great greek food and the amazing view of the island I sure I will be back!
